Slazenger Padel Leeds North brings 12 indoor courts to Seacroft

When Slazenger chose a site for its very first padel club, it picked Leeds. Slazenger Padel Leeds North opened in Seacroft in October 2024, and it has quickly become one of the busiest places to play the sport in the city.
The club, on Coal Road, has 12 indoor courts. They are panoramic courts laid with black turf, and two of them were designed with competition-spec run-off areas and courtside seating, making them ideal for tournaments and spectators.
Players also have social areas, automatic ball feeders for practice and changing rooms, so the venue works just as well for a casual game with friends as it does for serious training.
Demand has been strong. One report noted that the club has hosted many high-profile events and competitions and has reached a court occupancy rate of more than 90 per cent, a clear sign of how quickly padel has caught on in Leeds.
The venue continues to evolve. Plans were announced for all the courts at Leeds North to be fully returfed and rebranded in Slazenger's heritage green, giving the club a fresh look that ties it more closely to the famous sporting brand.
The success of the Seacroft club has also fed into plans for a second Leeds venue. Slazenger Padel Leeds South, a 14-court site near Elland Road, was expected to open by summer 2026, subject to planning approval.
Coaching sessions are listed for different levels, which makes the club a good starting point for beginners as well as a place for improving players to push on.
For a sport that only arrived in many British cities a few years ago, a dozen courts busy with players is quite a sight, and Seacroft has become an important part of that growth in Leeds. It has helped turn a sport many people had never heard of into a regular fixture in diaries across the east of the city.
Courts and coaching sessions at Slazenger Padel Leeds North can be booked through Playtomic, where players can check availability.
